Kundalini Shakti is the Divine Feminine Creative Force, the Soul Energy. It is the yoga of the chakras, and aims to raise this energy up the spine, awakening the chakras as it circulates. Kundalini is symbolized by the serpent and the medical symbol of the caduceus. All styles of yoga and meditation aim to raise and circulate the Kundalini, but Kundalini yoga is faster, using Kriyas (series of postures to make a complete action) to directly stimulate the Kundalini. It is the yoga of awareness, tapping into your consciousness which is beyond energy of prana or chi. Kundalini yoga classes include physical yoga postures, breath work, chanting and other forms of meditation.
Khushbir Singh has been teaching Kundalini yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan for over 25 years. He studied Kundalini yoga in India, Thailand and the US and has taught in many places including China, the US, the Caribbean and Belgium. He has also practiced many styles of Hatha Yoga and meditation, but Kundalini has always been his passion. He has a great knowledge of posture, sound healing and breath technique. He shares both scientific and esoteric information on how yoga works in his classes.
No experience is necessary. Wear comfortable clothes to move in.
