Kundalini Yoga and Meditation as taught by Yogi Bhajan is considered the yoga of awareness and consciousness. A regular practice strengthens all the systems of the body/mind – importantly the nervous system – so you can handle and face daily life experiences and traumas with grace and radiance. It’s affects are endless – it will balance the emotions, bring neutrality to the mind, open the heart center, heal old wounds and traumas stuck in the mind/body, and raise your consciousness.
The flow of class will always be the same. We tune in with a mantra, warm up, practice a yoga set called a Kriya, rest period with a 5-11 minute long gong bath, a meditation (sometimes with a mantra) and then we close with a beautiful song. We will practice postures, pranayama, mudras, eye focus and mantras. You may walk away from class feeling lighter, more connected to your higher self and mentally stronger.
